Vol. 8 No. 1

Remember to Post Summary Form 300A

The Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses—OSHA Form 300A— must be posted in a place that is conspicuous to your employees between February 1 through April 30. The form is a summary of the total number of job-related injuries and illnesses for 2005.

Employers must keep separate Logs and separate Summaries for each establishment. Only the Summary form needs to be posted and it should be posted, even if there were no work-related injuries or illnesses that occurred during the previous year. An operation with 10 or fewer employees at all times during the last calendar year is not required to keep or post injury and illness records, unless OSHA or the Bureau of Labor Statistics informs the operation otherwise.
