Oregon Wage & Hour Handbook

The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries has published a new Wage and Hour Handbook with updates to reflect all recent legislative and rule changes. This is an employer handbook covering a variety of topics; rules on work time, paydays, meals and lunch periods, plus basic information on minimum wage, overtime, minimum wage exemptions and independent contractors. The handbook contains all applicable statutes and rules, as well as discussions about issues such as when you can pay less than minimum wage, when you can pay a volunteer, and how the child labor laws work. Cost of the new handbook is $35.

For information about ordering the handbook or other publications offering technical assistance to employers, see: www.boli.state.or.us/BOLI/TA/T_Tabooks.shtml
