Creates standards for fire safe cigarettes. State Fire Marshal to determine varieties that meet standard. Prohibits distribution unless cigarette is determined fire safe.

Creates crime of organized retail theft. Punishes with max of 10 years prison, $250,000 fine or both.

Indoor Air Quality

Bans smoking in public places and places of employment, including within 10 feet of doors, windows and ventilation intakes. Set max. daily fine of $500 for individual violations

Gas tax

Requires motor vehicle fuels be sold only in while cents. Sets method for rounding wholesale prices. Requires certain information be visible by signs from street.

Indoor Air Quality

Expands ban on smoking in public places and places of employment to include all restaurants, bars and taverns.

SB 481

Bottle Bill

Creates Beverage Product Stewardship Board. Transfers OLCC duties relating to container collection and refund to board. Expands type of beverage containers subject to deposit provisions. Increases deposit amount. Eliminates role of manufacturer and distributor in collection and refund of deposit. Allows dealer to refuse to accept container, if dealer is within certain proximity of redemption center.
