  Free We Card Resource Kit

In 2004, the We Card program entered its 9th year of helping retailers prevent the underage sale of tobacco. During 2004, the Coalition for Responsible Tobacco Retailing will be offering retail training sessions across the country, as well as expanded on-line training capabilities, CD-ROM, and training videos.

We Card is also offering a new Resource Kit free to retailers. The Resource kit combines the best tips and tools from the past, including elements of the Manager Guide to Training and Best Practices Guide, tip sheets, and a CD-ROM complete with printer-ready copies of We Card materials, which may be reproduced for use at checkout counters or as training guides. The Resource Kit includes:

• A booklet that compiles many elements from our Guide to Best Practices and Manager's Guide to Training (for the Real World)

• Tip Sheets about Stopping Third Party Sales, Spotting Fake IDs, and Using Age Checking Tools Effectively (in a ready-to-copy format for use at multiple check out stations)

• A personalized state law summary appropriate for your home state

• A Retailer Knowledge Test

• An Age-of-Purchase decal
