ONSA was involved in many of the debates that made Oregon’s 2003 legislative session long and difficult. Since excise taxes on beer and wine are
generally considered a likely revenue
source, ONSA became embroiled in

other issues that ONSA monitored and
lobbied during 2003, some of primary

the cigarette tax and others with the There were more than 200 individual bills affecting labor, unemployment, land use, licensing, lottery, workers’ compensation, sales taxes, capital gains taxes, tort liability, just to name a FEW! The value of your ONSA membership is the ability to actively be involved in the legislative process—to protect your business—but without requiring your personal time at the State Capitol.
