The purpose of ONSA is to represent the • To support legislation and regulatory activity which will benefit the
retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and brokers in our industry;
• To oppose legislation and regulatory activity which is not beneficial
to the industry; • To increase awareness of new laws and regulations affecting the
industry, and to help our members maintain compliance with the law;
• To provide educational materials for our members about how to comply
with laws and regulations, and why their compliance is necessary;
• To work with government at all levels to address pressing issues
which involve our industry and society at-large, such as youth smoking and
underage access to alcohol; • To research and organize activities and programs beneficial to
members, such as group health, liability, and worker’s compensation
insurance, industry-specific educational programs and seminars, and other
trade-related functions and programs; • To promote the numerous positive factors of our industry, including contributions to Oregon’s economic activity and quality of life, our positions as significant employers and taxpayers, and our members’ supportive involvement in our neighborhoods and communities.
